Scholarships for PIA Membership
The Randy Henry Memorial Scholarship is a $1000 ($500 per semester) scholarship to be awarded to a high school senior or current college undergraduate. A maximum of 2 scholarships will be awarded each year at the PIA of Arkansas Convention.
Student must qualify for 2nd semester by producing documentation. The scholarship will be sent to the office of the registrar of the college of choice in the recipient’s name. The college or university must be an accredited 2 or 4-year institution of higher learning.
Criteria selection for high school seniors or current college student:
- A 3.00 out of 4.00 cumulative grade point average. (3.75 out of 5.00 GPA)
- ACT score of 18 or better.
- Leadership ability shown through extracurricular activities, community service or job experience.
- One parent/guardian or grandparent must be a PIA of Arkansas member or a tenured (minimum 2 years) employee of a PIA agent.
- Must maintain at least a 2.50 cumulative grade point average in college.
- Must stay in school throughout the semester with at least 12 credit hours.
- Must complete the following application and return to PIA office by deadline of May 15th, 2017.
- High school seniors must also complete Section I and II.
- Current college students must complete Section I and III.
- Scholarship winner must be able to attend ceremony in Fayetteville, AR June 23rd, 2015.
